Wednesday 17th April saw 14 paddlers meet at Tesco for the first of our regular Wednesday night paddles of 2024. Of the 14 paddlers we had 5 coaches on the water, 4 new paddlers experiencing their first time paddling away from the warmth of a swimming pool and some regulars returning. It was certainly nice to get back on the river, it is a great way to unwind after a day at work.
We had a nice gentle paddle to start off the week heading down towards Heybridge basin before returning back to Tesco.
The weather stayed dry for us whilst we paddled, but the rain shower did arrive in anger as we were loading the cars.
