Join the club!
We always welcome new members through-out the year regardless of age or ability. We operate a non-discriminatory membership policy – any person who undertakes to behave in the best interest of canoeing can join the club.
Over the last few years there has been a rapid growth in paddlesport, which has benefited our club, with large numbers of new enquiries from paddlers of all abilities. We will always try to get you on the water as soon and safely as possible.
If you would like to become a member, your first step is to contact us, giving us as much information as you can. We will then deal with your enquiry as efficiently as we can. Or pop down to one of our regular pool sessions for a chat.
Our club’s membership includes
Access to all our pool sessions at the member rate of for adults £8.50 for adults and £5 for juniors per pool session.
Access to qualified British Canoeing coaches and leaders who will help you feel comfortable on the water and also help you progress you skills and techniques.
10% off purchases at Nucleus Watersports (https://shop.canoes2go.co.uk)
Access to all our social events and trips that will run/host throughout the year.

Our club rules state that for under 11s to paddle in a club session, they must be accompanied on the water by a parent/guardian who is a reasonably competent paddler. For safety reasons, children under the age of 8 are allowed at pool sessions and on some flat water trips if approved by Safety officer/committee.
Members are encouraged to tell the instructor or trip leader of any health issues or allergies which may affect you whilst canoeing/kayaking. This should be done before you go afloat. Your Instructor is obliged to ask all members of their group for this information.
