North Wales White Water Trip
Sept 5th-7th
The club has arranged a white-water weekend in North Wales.
We have leaders booked for Saturday and Sunday, which river and grade will depend on the group and their ability. The cost is £20 per day, per person.
Our base will be Tyn Cornel campsite on the banks of the river Tryweryn. You are responsible for booking this.
Our aim is to try and involve anyone who wishes to progress their white-water skills. Although this is not for beginners, some moving water experience is necessary. There will be plenty of opportunities beforehand to improve your skills and get yourself ready, we have 3 Lee Valleys for you to attend which is the perfect place to gain experience in a safe environment, we are also planning a River Wye weekend trip in August which also has some moving water.
Anybody who wishes to go will have to be assessed beforehand, as you need to be at certain standard. We will help you all the way to get there. Please speak to a committee member or coach (mentor) for any questions or to advise you on your suitability.
There will be shuttle runs over the weekend that we will need to be organise amongst ourselves.
Parking and launch fees will apply
The weekend plan is as follows. timings and details to be finalised.
