Club Pool Session

Club Pool/Polo Session
If you would like to stay after the pool session for an extra 1/2 hour for some fun and games with a polo session, please bring a helmet if you have one.

MCC Pool Session ESSEX Pool Session – for MCC Members only www.maldoncanoeclub.co.uk Please scan the QR code via the NHS COVID app when you arrive.
If you require a boat, please choose this in the add on area and select the number of boats required (a paddle and spray deck will be included).
Please collect your boat and equipment on the way to your section (sections in pool explained below). In the add on area please also choose one of the options: Family/Beginners Support Stroke/Rolling Sea Kayak Rolling The pool will be split into three sections (same as last time). On arrival you will be given your group letter (A, B, C) From back door Group A will be top left of pool. Group B top right (near changing rooms). Group C will be by the back doors. Entering pool Group A please go through back left door. Group B back right door. Group C either door. Please do not breach the COVID social distancing 2 metre rules before entering, during the session and after. The club has worked hard to run sessions through the COVID issues working within government guidelines. We have updated the risk assessment adding a COVID 19 section having talked to the pool management and made adjustments. Do not come to the session if you have any symptoms of COVID 19. If you develop symptoms within 7 days of the pool session notify our club H&S officer as soon as possible (Clive Marfleet 07795508839). Pre-book the session through Eola as there are limited spaces due to COVID rules, only persons booked will be allowed entry. Should the booking system be full please let Robert or Clive know and you will get first priority on the next session.
1 Enter the leisure centre through the furthest fire exit around the building (where we take the canoe in) Please do not use the front main entrance.
2 Exit the leisure centre by the same door you entered.
3 Please arrive changed as the changing rooms are for after pool use only.
4 The pool will be divided up into 3 sections remain in your section as per government guidelines.
5 Use the hand sanitiser provided at least on arrival and when leaving.
6 Coaching will be done from the poolside which will help to maintain social distancing. Should an incident occur the coaches will take control, rescue or advise depending on the situation.
