Our club rules state that for under 11s to paddle in a club session, they must be accompanied on the water by a parent/guardian who is a reasonably competent paddler. For safety reasons, children under the age of 8 are allowed at pool sessions and on some flat water trips if approved by Safety officer/committee.
Members are encouraged to tell the instructor or trip leader of any health issues or allergies which may affect you whilst canoeing/kayaking. This should be done before you go afloat. Your Instructor is obliged to ask all members of their group for this information.
