SUMMARY:Maldon loop/ Northey.
DESCRIPTION:13th Sept H/W 14.50 \nMaldon Loop including Northey Island. \nplease sign in using Webcollect. \nWeather permitting. \n3 sections of 3 miles\, 9 miles total. \nMeet at Beeleigh for 10am.  https://maps.app.goo.gl/fCwLNFUrpdi1wvyG6 \nhttps://w3w.co/joyously.bluntly.original \nMaldon Loop. \n1 Beeleigh to Heybridge. paddle the canal to the Basin\, once there we will be launching from the beech at ST Georges play area https://maps.app.goo.gl/C7rQ3KMGUpjDU4Si7  \napprox. 325mtrs portage so wheels are a must. we can have a short break at the get in. \n2 On too open water to  circumnavigate Northey Island clockwise\, we will be pushing against the tide for the first mile until we reach the southside of the Island. The rest of the trip will be tide assisted. We can then have a short break at the causeway before our final section. https://maps.app.goo.gl/R68k5HiWg1BaXSeE7 \n3 final push for home along the esplanade back to Beeliegh Falls for our exit. \nskill set: confident to paddle in open water and the distance\, we may also have the wind against us at some point which will add to the difficulty. \nThis trip is based around the tide so we need to paddle at a reasonable pace. \nAs always dress for the weather/water temp.
