Paddle on River Deben on 9 AM 7th November 2021
This is a very scenic paddle with loads of wildlife to see, and a few pubs en route if we get thirsty. The Deben is a wide river and can get very windy so be prepared!
Meeting at Felixstowe Ferry, Felixstowe IP11 9RZ (What3Words: trouser.mentions.crackled), free parking outside the Ferry Boat Inn.
The intention is to paddle to Woodbridge for lunch before returning to Felixstowe Ferry. We will paddle with the tide in both directions. The total distance will be about 20 miles and will take approx. 4 hours paddling time – add on extra for lunch etc
Suitable for competent paddlers only, with sea or touring kayaks – nothing shorter than 13’ and with a skeg.
